Machan Paradise View is a wholly owned subsidiary of the renowned Machan Wildlife Resort. Machan Wildlife Resort is arguably one of the best destinations for eco-tourists and those seeking an enthralling jungle experience. Established in 1987, Machan has always set the standard for jungle lodging and is the premiere jungle resort in Nepal. For the past two decades Machan has worked towards providing an ecologically sensitive yet naturally immersive jungle experience encapsulated within a culturally sophisticated and service oriented atmosphere.

Machan has a simple philosophy: wilderness in style. Our objective is to ensure our guests are given the best possible wildlife experience through an authentic and stylistic approach that sets us apart from our competition. At Machan we have woven the warmth and trust present in our local community into the Machan experience. A stay at Machan is not just an experience of the wild; it’s equally and experience of the warm glow of friendship and kinship present in the wilderness.

The Paradise View property was acquired by Machan in the April of 2004 and extensive renovations were conducted on the existing property to suit the needs and requirements of the Machan standard. Close to two decades of experience have taught us what is important to our guests - everything. At Machan Paradise View we have implemented years of service experience and refinement in order to create one of the best wildlife destinations in Nepal.

Machan Paradise View can guarantee the wildlife enthusiast a fabulous wildlife experience within the Royal Chitwan National Park. Sprawling over 932 sq. km. of semi-tropical forests, the Royal Chitwan National Park, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its unique and rich collection of flora and fauna.

Visitors at Machan Paradise View can take part in various exhilarating activities like elephant back safaris, jeep safaris, jungle walks, canoeing, and fishing. A safari held on nature’s mightiest four by four, the elephant, ensures you an enthralling ride through the jungle. Paradise View organizes elephant briefings which allow our guests to learn more about these fascinating animals and for those interested can also arrange for a crash course in leading an elephant. The park is home to over 43 species of mammals including the Bengal Tiger, One-horned Rhino, Leopards, sloth bear, and four species of deer. A 10km jeep safari gives the wildlife enthusiast a chance to see all these rare animals.

Lying on the banks of the Rapti River, Paradise View is the perfect place to go down the river in a traditional dug out canoe to view aquatic birds and animals along the river bank. There are over 450 species of birds, more than half the entire species of birds found in Nepal and over 45 species of amphibians and reptiles within the borders of the National Park. Nature walks, butterfly walks, and bird watching tours are thus a captivating experience with our seasoned guides who will point them out as you walk.

The diversity of wildlife guarantees an unforgettable experience at Machan Paradise View. But the fun doesn’t just lie in the jungle and Paradise View allows for a complete cultural emersion by organizing local tribal dances and performances. The popular Tharu stick dance will allow our visitors to see their traditional skills and dances while actively encouraging their participation.

At Machan, we believe it is our duty to ensure a memorable stay for our guests. We also acknowledge the crucial role our guests play as future ambassadors linking not only the Machan name but nature and wildlife to the rest of the world. It is thus with warmth and excitement that we invite you too our home, the jungle.

Getting There

By land - Our vehicles will drive you there on the same mountain road, which originally revealed Nepal’s hidden beauty to the
outside world. The road crosses the Mahabharat Range at 2500 m and follows the Trishuli river most of the way. It offers splendid views of the Himalayas in clear weather. The resort is about 165 Kms from Kathmandu and takes about 4 ½ to 5 hours drive. The most comfortable way to travel through surface is by a private vehicle (Car/Van). You can also travel by a tourist bus.

By air - There are two daily flights from Kathmandu to Bharatpur airfield, the nearest to Machan Paradise View, and from Bharatpur guests are transported by Land Rover to the resort which is 20 km from the airfield.

By raft - You can opt for a raft trip down the Trishuli River, which follows the road down into Chitwan National Park, with our trained rafting crew, and bivouac at camps on riverside beaches. This is Nepal’s most popular rafting river, for its impressive gorges, exciting rapids, and some easier sections. For many people it represents the ideal compromise trip:
just the right length of, exhilarating rapids, and not too difficult.
