Food & General Information

The Resort restaurant offers both Nepalese and Continental cuisine, hygienically prepared with concern for your health. The flask in your rooms contains boiled and filtered water. Tea and coffee, courtesy of Machan, is always available in the dining hall pantry. Our bar offers a wide variety of imported & local liquors, beer and soft drinks. If you are vegetarian or have any other dietary requirements, please let us know in advance and we ill be happy to prepare your meals accordingly.

For leisure time between jungle activities there is hammocks for relaxing beneath the trees. We also have a range of items available for purchase: T-shirt & other clothing designed exclusively for Machan on a jungle safari theme, wildlife books, paintings by the same Maithili women artists who decorated the bar and dining hall. Please ask at the bar about these.

Finally, we feel that a word of praise or criticism is more valuable than any gratuity. However, should you wish to leave a tip, please use the tip box located near the bar so that all our staff can benefit from your appreciation. For any suggestion or additional requests, our naturalist or the camp-in-charge will be happy to assist you. We wish you an enjoyable stay with us.
